The Challenge

Close the loop, not just chase stars.

Rob's Roofing already had 580+ Google reviews at 4.9 stars, but a five star public rating doesn't tell you which crew ran late, which sales rep over-promised, or which office handoff dropped the ball. Ops needed a private channel where homeowners could speak freely, right after the job wrapped, without needing to log in, download an app, or type on a desktop.

The brief: a short mobile-first survey, on-brand with the rest of the Rob's ecosystem, that homeowners actually finish. Every answer lands in a place the leadership team already lives, no new dashboard to check.

Homeowner Experience Survey welcome screen with Rob's Roofing logo
Step 1, welcome and expectation setting
Overall Experience step with NPS and star rating
Step 2, NPS plus star rating
Communication step asking how well the team kept the homeowner in the loop
Step 3, communication and points of contact

The Build

Six steps, three minutes, one brand.

The flow is six screens, from welcome to thank you, with a live progress bar so homeowners always know how much is left. Each screen groups related questions, temperature-check ratings, communication, crew and site cleanliness, timeline and finish, plus an open comment field, so nobody feels like they're grinding through a hundred questions in a row.

Visual system matches robsroofing.us: the same logo lockup in the header, the same red as the primary action, generous type sizing for people filling it out on a phone with a cracked screen after a monsoon. Required fields gate the Continue button so answers stay clean when they hit the sheet.

The Pipeline

Every answer, straight to a Google Sheet.

On submit, the survey posts directly into a shared Google Sheet the leadership team already opens every morning. One row per homeowner, one column per question, timestamped and tagged by branch. Rob and ops can filter by low ratings, sort by crew, or pivot on a rough week without waiting on a report.

Because the sheet is the source of truth, layering on next steps costs nothing: a conditional formatting rule flags any NPS under 7, a Zapier trigger can page the branch manager on a scathing comment, and quarterly trends drop straight into the Priority Command Center quarterly report.

Results

A private feedback loop that runs itself.

Pipeline

Google Sheets, live

The public review engine keeps feeding social proof on the homepage, and the private survey keeps feeding the improvement loop inside the company. Two channels, one brand, both quietly running in the background of every job.
