The Challenge
Four years, one storefront, constant iteration.
Find Foot Support (Mephisto Scottsdale) started as a basic Shopify storefront in September 2021. The category, specialty orthopedic footwear, needs education, fit expertise, and trust. The site had to teach, sell, and route customers to in-store fittings without ever feeling like a medical form.
Phase One, 2021
Storefront up. Foundation set.
Early days: single product images, limited filters, a homepage that competed with itself. First priority was cleaning the visual hierarchy and giving each product enough surface area to sell itself.

Phase Two, 2022
Brand-aligned. Return-friendly.
Homepage updated to match the brand's real personality. Dropdown navigation cleaned up wayfinding. A pop-up rewarded newsletter signups with a coupon. Free hassle-free returns removed a real barrier for first-time shoe buyers online.
We also became the only U.S. store selling replacement laces, every color, every length, with photos I shot and stocked by hand.
Phase Three, 2023 → Present
Deep catalog, mega menu, Amazon at scale.
The current site sells thousands of variants through a mega menu that collapses the full category tree into one hover, a product detail layout that swatches related colorways, and a book-a-fitting flow that pulls Scottsdale shoppers straight into the store calendar.
Behind the scenes, the same catalog syncs to Amazon Seller Central, 11,861 listings live across the marketplace, keeping Shopify as the source of truth for pricing, inventory, and variants.

Shopify ↔ Amazon
One catalog. Two marketplaces.
Amazon reach without cannibalizing the direct site: variants, images, and inventory push from Shopify to Amazon so the team edits one place. A single sandal (8 sizes, multiple colors) becomes dozens of Amazon ASINs without dozens of manual listings.

Homepage variations
Same brand. Different seasons.
The Mephisto Scottsdale homepage is a living surface, refreshed for seasonal campaigns, sales moments, and new arrivals. Below, eight homepage variations shipped over time using the same design system, spanning Spring, Fall, and Accessories collections.

Booking a shoe fitting
Turn a click into a 30-minute in-store appointment.
Scottsdale shoppers book a fitting straight from the site. A branded calendar, real-time availability, and a Calendly-powered time picker hand the customer off to the store without a phone call.

Loyalty program
A rewards engine that pays for itself.
The loyalty program tracks every customer, tags 99% of transactions, and turns anonymous shoppers into contactable members. Segments separate high-value regulars from dormant ones, and tiered rewards, $30 off, 25% off, free pair, keep them coming back to the store.

Why It Matters
The digital-to-physical loop.
Mega menu + filters cut the time to the right product.
Videos and editorial content lift confidence and reduce returns.
Live chat + email give real access to knowledgeable staff.
Google Maps + appointment booking bridge online research to in-store fittings.
Shopify ↔ Amazon sync scales reach without doubling the team.
